The flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina has a blue field with a large yellow right triangle placed at the hoist side, its base along the top edge and its point extending downward. Along the sloping side of the triangle runs a line of nine white five-pointed stars, with the top and bottom stars cut off by the edge of the flag. The design is simple but distinctive, with sharp geometric lines and a high-contrast palette of blue, yellow, and white that makes it easy to recognize at a glance.
