Vietnam National Team is Vietnam’s national football team, representing the country in senior men’s international football. It is governed by the Vietnam Football Federation. The team’s official Vietnamese name is Đội tuyển bóng đá quốc gia Việt Nam. Football was introduced to Vietnam in the late 19th century, and the country’s first recorded international match was played in Saigon on 16 January 1949.
