Greenland’s flag is a clean, distinctive design made of two horizontal fields, with a white upper section and a red lower section, interrupted by a centered circle that is split between the same two colors. The simple layout makes it easy to recognize at a glance, especially because the round emblem breaks from the more common cross-based flag patterns seen across the North Atlantic. Its balanced red-and-white composition gives it a restrained, modern appearance while remaining closely associated with Greenland.

Greenland, officially known as Greenland and called Kalaallit Nunaat in Greenlandic, has its capital in Nuuk. It lies in North America and is part of the wider Americas region, while not being an independent state and not a United Nations member. Greenlandic is the main language, and the currency used is the krone. As a large Arctic territory with no neighboring countries by land, Greenland has a distinct identity shaped by its geography and its close ties to the Kingdom of Denmark.
