The flag of Uzbekistan features three equal horizontal bands: turquoise at the top, white in the middle, and green at the bottom. Narrow red lines border the upper and lower edges of the white band, creating clear separation between the colors. On the hoist side of the turquoise field is a white crescent opening toward the fly, accompanied by twelve five-pointed white stars. The stars are arranged outside the crescent in three rows of three, four, and five, giving the upper-left corner a distinctive and readily recognizable design.
