Oman National Team is Oman’s national football team. It represents the country in international football and currently competes under the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The Oman Football Association was founded in 1978 and has been a member of FIFA since 1980, alongside its AFC membership.

Football in Oman has roots that go back to the Maqboul Club, founded in 1942 and later known as the Oman Club. The association was created during a period of growing sports development in the 1970s, with Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq Al Said serving as its first president.
