Banser, short for Barisan Ansor Serbaguna, is a semi-autonomous body and core service unit of Gerakan Pemuda Ansor. It supports organizational activities through security services, community assistance, disaster response, humanitarian work, and maintaining order during religious and community events.

The Banser identity is associated with discipline, courage, readiness, service, and responsibility. Its emblem reflects a commitment to social, humanitarian, and religious duties, as well as concern for national unity. The Arabic phrase “Nahnu Ansorullah,” meaning “We are the helpers of Allah’s religion,” expresses a spirit of dedication and struggle rooted in the values of Islam as understood within the Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah tradition.
