Bone Bolango Regency Emblem

The Bone Bolango Regency emblem consists of a five-cornered shield with a pink base and symbols of local identity, culture, and regional aspirations. Its elements include a gold star, agricultural and natural features, two rivers, and traditional Gorontalo forms.

• Shield and star: The five-cornered shield symbolizes Pancasila as the foundation of the Republic of Indonesia. The gold star symbolizes belief in the One Almighty God, hope, and guidance from Allah SWT. In the Gorontalo context, it also reflects the community’s religious character and the philosophy “adat bersendi syara, syara bersendi kitabullah”.
• Rice and cotton: These symbolize prosperity and the fulfillment of the community’s food needs through rice and clothing needs through cotton.
• Chain: The chain symbolizes local and national unity. Its five links represent mutual cooperation, kinship, friendliness, critical thought, and unity.
• Natural landscape: The coconut tree, mountains, forests, and rice fields depict the area’s natural resources, agricultural geography, and plantation and forestry resources.
• Sea and waves: The blue sea symbolizes marine and fisheries potential, while the waves symbolize development that continues to move forward.
• Two rivers: The Bone River on the right and the Bolango River on the left symbolize the two principal rivers flanking the area and the origin of the name Bone Bolango.
• Traditional house and umbrella: The house symbolizes Gorontalo’s ancestral architectural heritage. The traditional umbrella symbolizes protection for the community and a commitment to preserving local customs.
• Ribbon inscription: The ribbon reads “Kabupaten Bone Bolango” and identifies the regency by its official name.
