The Sidoarjo Regency emblem consists of a regular pentagonal form with sides resembling curly braces, a five-pointed star above, and a central composition associated with Sidoarjo Regency in East Java, Indonesia.
- Pentagonal form and star: The pentagonal form symbolizes the philosophy of Pancasila. The five-pointed star symbolizes belief in the One Almighty God and the religious life of the people of Sidoarjo.
- Rice and sugarcane: Eighteen rice grains and a sugarcane stalk with five segments surround the central field. They symbolize important agricultural products of the regency, while their rounded arrangement represents a united determination to build a just and prosperous society. The 18 rice grains refer to the 18 subdistricts of Sidoarjo Regency.
- Fish and shrimp: A milkfish and a shrimp appear inside the circle formed by the rice and sugarcane. Their arrangement forms the letter “S”, the first letter of Sidoarjo.
- Blue field: The sea-blue color symbolizes water and Sidoarjo’s geographic setting as the Brantas Delta, surrounded by rivers and sea. The blue field inside the rice-and-sugarcane circle also represents fishpond areas producing milkfish and shrimp.
- Other colors: Green symbolizes fertility, yellow on the star, rice, sugarcane, and ribbon symbolizes the welfare of the people, black symbolizes steadfastness of faith, and gray on the milkfish and shrimp is described as a complementary color.
- Ribbon inscription: The lower ribbon carries “KABUPATEN SIDOARJO”. This inscription is the administrative name rather than a separate motto.
Sidoarjo Regent Regulation No. 34 of 2024 regulates use of the Sidoarjo Regency emblem on Sidoarjo Regency government official uniforms and prescribes placement on the left sleeve below the writing naming the local government.
