About Universitas Tanjungpura (UNTAN)

Universitas Tanjungpura, commonly abbreviated as UNTAN, is a public university in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia. It provides higher education across a range of academic disciplines and carries out research and community service. Its work therefore includes teaching and learning as well as research and engagement with the wider community.

The university serves people pursuing higher education and conducts its activities in Pontianak. Its academic scope covers multiple disciplines; no narrower set of programs or specific audience is identified here. The institution’s name and emblem appear together in the supplied mark, which identifies the university and its Pontianak location.

Meaning and History of the Universitas Tanjungpura (UNTAN) Logo

The emblem is arranged within a white five-sided field edged in black. Its visible components include a black torch with a red flame, a pair of mandau, two yellow wings, and a red-and-white ribbon. The words “UNIVERSITAS TANJUNGPURA” and “PONTIANAK” are included in the design. These are observable elements of the mark; the available information does not assign them particular symbolic meanings.

This detailed composition is preserved as a complete image in the supplied PNG. The transparent area is outside the emblem, while the white field remains opaque within it. This distinction matters when placing the image over colored backgrounds: the background can show around the emblem, but not through its white interior. The asset has been compared with the logo shown on the university’s main website, and the complete emblem is retained without cropping its design.

For practical use, the high-resolution PNG can be placed in digital layouts that support transparency. Keep the full emblem visible and avoid trimming its edges or stretching it out of proportion. At smaller display sizes, check that the lettering and fine details remain legible before using it in a final layout.

Evolution of the Logo

The currently available asset system consists of one colored PNG emblem at 1999 × 2004 pixels, with transparent space outside the complete mark and its white inner field preserved.

Universitas Tanjungpura (UNTAN) Color Palette

The emblem uses white, black, red, and yellow. White forms the interior field; black appears in the edge, torch, and lettering; red is visible in the flame and ribbon; and yellow is used for the pair of wings. These are the colors present in the supplied mark. The outer transparent area is not an additional logo color.

Because the asset is provided as a colored PNG, it is suited to placements that can display raster images and preserve transparency. The white interior remains visible when the emblem is placed on a darker page or background. For print or other production requirements, confirm that the image dimensions and PNG format suit the intended application.
