The Pandeglang Regency emblem consists of a pentagonal shield bearing a five-pointed gold star, three cones, a one-horned rhinoceros, and rice and cotton bound with jasmine. Its documented elements represent religious belief, regional geography, resilience, and prosperity.
- Pentagonal shield and star: The pentagonal shield symbolizes the enduring resilience of the people and local government, grounded in Pancasila. The five-pointed gold star against white symbolizes the glory of God Almighty and the community’s strong religious spirituality.
- Three cones: The cones depict Mount Karang, Mount Pulosari, and Mount Aseupan. They symbolize Pandeglang’s mountainous geography and natural richness.
- One-horned rhinoceros: The rhinoceros faces left and depicts the Javan rhinoceros, a rare ancient animal that still lives in Ujung Kulon, Pandeglang Regency. It symbolizes resilience, uniqueness, and the preservation of nature.
- Rice, cotton, and jasmine: The composition includes 37 grains of rice and six cotton blossoms bound with a jasmine flower. It symbolizes prosperity and the fulfillment of the people’s food and clothing needs.
The Pandeglang Regency emblem is described alongside the regional motto “Pandeglang BERKAH,” an acronym for Bersih, Elok, Ramah, Kuat, Aman, and Hidup. The motto expresses the local government’s vision and commitment to development and public service.
