The Sragen Regency emblem consists of a yellow, heart-shaped shield containing a five-pointed star, a red-and-white sash, a banyan tree, a cogwheel, a sugarcane stalk, a mountain, a river, a nine-curved keris, rice, and cotton. The listed elements carry meanings related to belief, leadership, local industries, geography, and Indonesia’s independence.

• Star and sash: The five-pointed star and red-and-white sash symbolize divinity, courage, and purity.
• Banyan tree: The banyan tree symbolizes leadership and protection.
• Cogwheel and sugarcane: The cogwheel and sugarcane stalk symbolize industry and plantation products.
• Mountain and river: The mountain and flowing river depict the foothills of Mount Lawu and the flow of the Bengawan Solo River.
• Keris, rice, and cotton: The nine-curved keris, 17 grains of rice, and eight cotton units symbolize struggle and refer to the date of Indonesia’s independence.

The regional motto is Sragen ASRI (Aman, Sehat, Rapi, Indah). The Sragen Regency emblem is described separately from the newer branding identity, “Sragen The Land of Java Man,” which features a stylized fingerprint.
