The Bekasi City emblem consists of a shield with a light-green and sky-blue field. Its documented elements include bamboo, a pentagonal shield, rice grains and fruit, and other forms with stated meanings.
- Five-tipped bamboo symbolizes the vertical relationship between people and God, religious devotion, and patriotic spirit.
- Pentagonal shield symbolizes the community’s physical and mental resilience in facing threats or disturbances.
- Square and boundary pillars symbolize the inscription of the Karawang-Bekasi regional struggle.
- Rice grains and fruit The 50 rice grains and the fruit—seven large and one small—depict the numbers of urban villages, villages, and subdistricts when the area was first formed.
- Knotted cord and steps The cord’s 10 knots and the three steps symbolize Bekasi City’s date of birth, March 10.
- Water waves symbolize the dynamics of development and an unceasing spirit of work.
- Motto “KOTA PATRIOT” reflects residents’ spirit of service and courage in the history of the national struggle.
- Colors Yellow represents nobility; sky blue, breadth of outlook, clarity of thought, and the industrial zone; white, purity in struggle; red, courage to sacrifice; and black, the steadfastness of a true patriot.
The Bekasi City emblem’s official form was approved through Regional Regulation No. 01 of 1998.
