- Five river waves: They symbolize Kuningan’s five major rivers: Cisanggarung, Cijolang, Cisande, Cijangkelok, and Citaal.
- Yellow bowl: It symbolizes the history of the birth of Sang Adipati Kuningan and the anniversary of the regency government on September 1, 1498.
- Rice and cotton: They symbolize fertile land and sufficient food and clothing for the people.
- Colors: Green symbolizes prosperity, coolness, and hope; white, purity, honesty, and justice; black, steadfastness and the upholding of truth; blue, loyalty and nobility of spirit; and gold, well-being and nobility.
