Coventry City Football Club is a professional football club based in Coventry, England. The club competes in the Premier League, the top tier of English football, and is known by the nickname “the Sky Blues,” reflecting its long-standing sky blue colours. Coventry City was formed as Singers F.C. in 1883 and adopted its current name in 1898. The club joined the Southern League in 1908 before entering the Football League in 1919.

Coventry City was an inaugural member of the Premier League in 1992 and spent 34 consecutive seasons in England’s top division from 1967 to 2001. The club returned to the Premier League for the 2026–27 season after winning promotion as champions.
