Crystal Palace Football Club, commonly known as Palace, is a professional football club based in London, England. The club competes in the Premier League and the UEFA Conference League (UECL). Its professional organization was established in 1905, while its origins extend back to 1861. Palace began its professional league history in the Southern League before joining the Football League in 1920. Since the 1960s, the club has mainly competed in the top two tiers of English football and was a founder member of the Premier League in the 1992–93 season.

The club’s traditional identity is associated with red and blue vertical stripes, adopted in 1973 after earlier claret and blue colours. Crystal Palace has a long-standing rivalry with Brighton & Hove Albion and also contests South London derbies with Millwall and Charlton Athletic.
