Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, commonly known as Spurs, is a professional football club based in Tottenham, North London, England. Founded in 1882, the club competes in the Premier League, the top tier of English football, and the UEFA Champions League (UCL). Its traditional home colours are white shirts and navy blue shorts, a combination used since the 1898–99 season.

Tottenham has a longstanding rivalry with nearby Arsenal, contested in the North London derby, as well as a rivalry with Chelsea. The club is owned by ENIC Group, which acquired it in 2001.
