Nottingham Forest Football Club is a professional football club based in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, England, representing the city of Nottingham. Founded in 1865, the club currently competes in the Premier League, the top tier of English football. It has played in the top two levels of the English league system in all but five seasons since joining the Football League.

The club’s most successful period came under managers Brian Clough and Peter Taylor during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Nottingham Forest’s main rivalry is with Derby County in the East Midlands derby, with the Brian Clough Trophy awarded to the winner since 2007.
