Fußball-Club Augsburg 1907 e. V. (FC Augsburg) is a football club based in the German city of the same name. The club currently competes in the Bundesliga, Germany’s top football division. Founded in 1907, it spent much of its earlier history between the second and third tiers before reaching the Bundesliga for the first time in 2011. FC Augsburg has remained in the division since then, recording its highest finish with fifth place in the 2014–15 season. The club made its European debut in the 2015–16 UEFA Europa League, advancing to the Round of 32 before being eliminated by Liverpool. Its colours are red, green and white, and its badge reflects the city emblem.
