RB Leipzig is a German professional football club based in Leipzig, Germany. Its full name is RasenBallsport Leipzig e.V., and the club is commonly known as RB Leipzig. Founded in 2009, it currently competes in the Bundesliga. The team’s nickname, Die Roten Bullen, means “The Red Bulls” in German.

The club rose rapidly through the German football divisions after beginning in the fifth-tier NOFV-Oberliga Süd. RB Leipzig reached the Bundesliga for the 2015–16 season and qualified for the UEFA Champions League in its debut top-flight campaign. It reached the Champions League semi-finals in 2020.
