Cologne is a German professional football club based in Cologne, Germany. Its official name is 1. Fußball-Club Köln 01/07 e. V., commonly shortened to 1. FC Köln or FC Cologne. The club competes in the Bundesliga and plays its home matches in white and red. It was established in 1948 through the merger of Kölner Ballspiel-Club 1901 and SpVgg Sülz 07, and was among the founding members of the Bundesliga in 1963.
