Le Mans FC is a French professional football club based in Le Mans, France. The club was founded in 1985 through a merger and originally operated under the name Le Mans Union Club 72, commonly abbreviated as MUC 72. In 2010, it adopted the name Le Mans FC as part of a broader reorganisation. The club is listed to compete in Ligue 1, France’s top football division, for the 2026–27 season.

This return to the first tier follows successive promotions from Championnat National in 2024–25 and Ligue 2 in 2025–26. The club represents the city of Le Mans within the French professional football system and has undergone significant changes in identity and structure since its foundation.
