Football Club Lorient, commonly known as FC Lorient, is a French professional association football club based in Brittany, France. Founded in 1926, the club currently competes in Ligue 1 after earning promotion from Ligue 2 at the end of the 2024–25 season.

For much of its early history, the club operated at amateur level before making its first Ligue 1 appearance in the 1998–99 season. It has also served as an important development platform for several international players, including Laurent Koscielny, André-Pierre Gignac, Kevin Gameiro, and Matteo Guendouzi. The club’s Breton name is An Oriant.
