Racing Club de Lens, commonly known as RC Lens or Lens, is a professional football club based in Lens, France. The club currently competes in Ligue 1, France’s highest domestic league. Its traditional red-and-gold colours have given it the nickname “Les Sang et Or,” meaning “The Blood and Gold.”

Based in the Pas-de-Calais department, the club is closely associated with the northern French city of Lens and has a longstanding rivalry with nearby Lille OSC. Their meetings are known as the Derby du Nord, one of the notable regional rivalries in French football.
