Real Madrid Club de Fútbol is a Spanish professional football club based in Madrid, Spain. Founded in 1902 as Madrid Football Club, it competes in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. The club has worn a white home kit throughout much of its history, and the title “Real” was granted in 1920 by Alfonso XIII.

The team has played home matches at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium since 1947 and is one of the most widely supported football clubs in the world. It is also a member-owned club, with supporters following a long tradition that includes major rivalries with Barcelona and Atlético Madrid.
